AAK in a Special Interview with CBC Kids on Measles

Hi there. I am really excited to share this interview I did with Isabelle MacNeil a kid reporter at CBC Kids. This is a special project that is close to my heart. The purpose was to deliver a message to kids about how the measles virus infects people and causes the disease called Measles. Since kids are the main recipients of the vaccine, it is important that they understand what they are being vaccinated with and why. With so much misinformation and vaccine hesitancy, helping kids access accurate information should be a priority.

Isabelle did a fabulous job asking the important questions and delivering accurate information. You can watch the interview below:

There is a measles outbreak in B.C. because some parents don't vaccinate their kids, even though health officials say the vaccine is safe. CBC Kids News contributor Isabelle MacNeil explores why the disease is spreading and how social media is playing a role in sharing the right information.
